What Is Project Abundant Life?
Project Abundant Life believes that its Capoeira Angola Dance, Discipline and Life project offers programs that combines innovative social change and education with a beautiful, historic art form. It provides an innovative approach to long-standing inner city problems, while teaching the value of art for the sake of art. Capoeira Angola Dance, Discipline and Life are literally art that changes lives.Often young people are forced to confront the uglier side of life by dealing with poverty, prejudice, crime, broken homes, low self-esteem and poor or non-existent role models.
Whatever dreams and talents they have can be eclipsed by a sense of ever-growing frustration and despair. Young men and women in our programs discover disciplines that allow them to express themselves artistically in a way that also allows them to channel pent-up emotions in a positive direction.
Project Abundant Life was founded to help inner city youth by teaching the values of self-respect, discipline, inner self-worth and community service in a unique way-through the use of art.
Anyone who wishes to have good fortune will constantly practice sacrifice. And anyone who cultivates the habit of doing good deeds, especially for the needy, this person will never lack happiness.
